Girls!
I am a little bit excited. I just placed an order at scentiments.com. I was actually still dawdling over it, but today I saw that the Sublime I was considering, has sold out. (They will get it back in but there's no telling when.)
So I decided to go ahead and get the original scents I wanted. Since L'Interdit is also out of stock, I am going to have to do two orders anyway.
Here's what I got:
Azzura 3.4 oz EDT spray by Azzaro - $18.84
Samsara 3.4 oz EDP spray TESTER by Guerlain - $34.53
Organza 3.4 oz EDP spray TESTER by Givenchy - $31.53
The Samsara TESTER is gonna come without a cap but, I'm not paying $8 for a cap. Let it never be said that Josephine paid $8 for a cap.
I did as Nancy suggested, a board search on MUA to see others' experiences with scentiments. It's overwhelmingly positive.
Of course while I was there, I stumbled across a bunch of other online perfumeries to drool over. :) scentiments has the best overall prices but, it depends on what you're looking for. perfumebay.com, for example, got a bunch of raves too. Higher prices, but better selection and more availability.
Maybe in the meantime, I can get hold of some "B & M" Sublime to try out. It's been ten years, roughly, since I've tried it.
Loads of other stuff to drool over but the facts are as follows:
1.) I am cheap. Ergo, the Vera Wang is out. I think I smelled it at Macy's (there was a ton of hard sell going on so I couldn't hang around that long). It smelled great but not $50 great.
2.) There are very few perfumes I really, really like. I've always been that way.
3.) What I'm getting, this time, amounts to what I've been thinking about getting for years. i.e. Samsara, Sublime, Azzura... L'Interdit is the only "new" scent I've thought about buying. Organza, has been my signature scent for at least three years (it really slips my mind when I bought it).
4.) Going back to being cheap. I like the new Amarige D'Amour, but for me it is not strong enough. Now I don't care for perfumes that are extremely strong, but what I end up buying, has to work with a few spritzes, once a day. (Okay this falls under both "cheap" and "lazy.")
In other news...the Trader Joe's Soy Milk shampoo worked perfectly. I used it exactly twice and the build-up is gone.
I also touched up my hair...2 parts 10.x beige blonde to 1 part 9.x intense gold blonde.
Hum. It is always a bit different each time I do it, since I am essentially using up all the Feria components I bought before.
The last remaining color liquid is the 9.x intense gold blonde. I put a good dent in it this time. Interesting...the color is not as golden as I'd thought it would be. It's quite nice actually. I miiiiight settle on this as my "official" hair color only with less 9.x (it's a tad too dark). I'm thinking 3 parts 10.x beige blonde to 1 part 9.x.
As far as makeup...forget about it. I'm not buying anything new in the foreseeable future. I've got plenty of stuff to play around with. It's possible I won't get anything until I do the Back to MAC thing...I'm in it three containers already (MAC Rizzo--wrong color, Delish--lovely, dried out, and the ill-fated Cream Colour Base in "Pearl").
Unless any of you guys wants Pearl...I could not make it crease-proof but maybe y'all have better ideas...it's going to become my highlighter. And then my Back to MAC container.
