Your scent order sounds great! Hope you get it soon.
I just got my Sephora order. May I rave about Sephora's service to Canada? Like I said before, they work with Borderfree so that the amount Canadians pay is in $CAN with taxes and customs fees included. And they send the package through good old mail (USPS and Canada Post). As soon as my package crossed the border, I got an e-mail from Sephora with my tracking number for Canada Post. Verrry nice touch. Gotta say too that regular mail is always less expensive than Fedex or UPS. Those two last always charge huge fees just for taking your package across the border. Regular mail doesn't. Anyhow, excellent company to order from.
Now for the haul. I got quite a bit because I wanted free shipping :) Mainly, I tried brands that I'd never seen here in Montreal.
-Urban Decay Face Case in Sell Out: This has eyeshadows in Midnight Cowboy, Polyester Bride, X, and Roach, blush in X, lipstick in Gash, lip gunk in Biker and Shotgun, and XXX shine gloss in Carney. These are apparently UD's best selling products. I've tried some of them on already.
Midnight Cowboy is a lovely champagne with silver glitter. The glitter does tend to fall all over your face but I managed to brush away most of it. Wouldn't wear this shadow during the day though (Polyester Bride has the chunks of glitter too but in more of a white-silver base). X is a lovely pink-rose-golden colour, frosty. Very wearable. Roach is a frosty dark warm brown. Absolutely gorgeous. X blush is a lovely rosy-pink. Shimmery but less than Nars blushes. Quite pigmented too. Very pretty. Of the lip products, I've only tried Biker lip gunk but I love it. It's a sheer beige with glitter (but it doesn't show up too much, just enough for sparkle). The other colours look lovely too and I suspect I'll love them.
All in all, the Face Case may be my favourite purchase of the bunch. It comes with two brushes (not all that useful but will do in a pinch) and the inside of the lid has a mirror. Very handy to carry around in a purse and the colours are neutral enough to go with everything.
-UD lip gunk in Gash: I've always wanted to try this colour but was afraid it would be too dark or too red for me (I have thin lips and a small mouth that kind of disappear when I wear dark lipstick). Turns out I was wrong. It's a gorgeous red and I could possibly even wear it to work. I was also afraid the scent/taste would disgust me but I actually like it.
-Vincent Longo Spectralite shadow in Vertiki: These looked really cool so I had to try one. One end of the shadow is a lightish yellowy green and the other end is a darker and greyer version of that same green. The colour just progressively changes from one end of the shadow to the next. The shadow feels silky and the colour is very pretty but I'm not quite sure how to use it. I'll figure it out...
-Passport eye pencil in Moscow/Istanbul: This is a two-sided pencil with a dark purple on one side and a medium purple on the other. Got this because I've been wanting a dark purple and had a hard time finding what I wanted. Thought I'd give this a try and it's exactly what I was looking for.
-Pout eyeshadow duo in Miss November: Had to get it just for the name! Turns out it's not something that I would have bought on my own but it looks really really nice on. Very Fall-ish. One colour is a very light peach. Kind of like MAC Orb but more luminous. It's not frosty or shimmery. Just luminous. The other colour is a medium also luminous brown. Warm brown. The effect of the two colours on the lids reminds me of a leaf in the Fall. Very very pretty.
-Three perfume samples in Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey for men (for the boyfriend who loves this scent), L'Interdit, and something by Kenzo (Parfum d'Ete or something like that?): they were free with the order. Haven't tried mine out yet...
-Deluxe sample of Philosophy 3 in 1 wash in Pumpkin Pie: I'd gotten a coupon code from Sephora for this. It smells delicious (I love Pumpkin Pie scents). It's a shampoo/conditioner/body wash. Will most likely use it as a body wash.
All of this came in a very cute pink satiny pouch. I'm very very satisfied with this order.
