I do have loooots! Actually, the reason I want to get rid of some stuff is that there's so much that I just never wear. Or rather, I always make an effort to wear everything but there are some things that I just don't WANT to wear. I figure, why keep those? I'm quite a bit of a hoarder. Takes me forever to get rid of clothes I don't wear but I actually really hate seeing things that don't get used take up space. And though my goal is to get rid of ten shadows (two quads and a duo = 10 ya know so it's not as hard as it seems), I won't let them go without trying them on at least once more. And all makeup that I'm considering giving away will go in a bag and stay there until it finds a better home. So I'll have plenty of time to change my mind :) Also, I want to find good homes. I want my makeup to go to people who would appreciate it and use it. So if I mention something you think you'd use, then sure! I'll give it to you!

Another reason I want to get rid of some stuff is there are still some items out there that I want. Like a medium green. Ya know, it's like when you paint, there are some colours you have to have. Like sap green. You can't make your own sap green. But then, you don't need the pink because you can make your own pink quite easily. Same thing here. I want to get rid of the "pinks" and buy the missing "sap greens".

I'll do the Chanel count now...

Glossimer in Pin-Up: definitely keep this. Would probably not repurchase because the glitter is kind of gritty but the colour is great. I actually wear this quite a bit.

Aqualumieres palette: keeping this too despite the fact I don't use it that much. Why? It's just so pretty! There's a gorgeous copper in there. More brown than orange. And the glosses are great too. I really enjoy using this...

Chanel quad Nymphea: this has a MAC Shroom-esque colour, a frosty chocolate brown, a frosty light and bright green (more yellow than blue), and a frosty peach (quite warm). This I'm considering giving away. Why? Too frosty for my tastes and I'm not crazy about how the shadow goes on. I have a beautiful dark frosty brown (UD Roach), Roach is a bit redder but still. I have some non frosty chocolate browns so I don't need this one. The green is a cross between MAC Overtint Green and MAC Bitter. So I can mix those and get the right green. And I don't wear peach a whole lot. I have two other peaches that I love (MAC Hush and the Pout Miss November duo peach). This quad needs a final run-through though. Maybe I'll end up wanting to keep it. To be fair, I haven't worn it in over 6 months... It needs a last trial run.

Chanel quad in Stellaires: this has a gorgeous cool yellow gold. Quite the perfect gold for me. And then it has a frosty MAC Sketch colour, a frosty pink and a frosty copper (this one way more orange than the one from Aqualumieres). The copper looks odd on me and the pink is one of those shades I have to be extra careful with. And then, I already have Sketch. Besides, I'm thinking this quad would look smashing on my sister. It does have the perfect gold but I could most likely find something similar in another brand. I also have a gold loose powder that might do the trick when I need a gold.

Verdict on the Chanel: Stellaires is definitely going and Nymphea needs to be tried again. See? That's already 4 shadows gone! And maybe 4 more after that... The best is I know I won't miss the Stellaires quad. I haven't worn it in a long time and I have no desire to wear it. The Nymphea I would feel guilty about if I just gave it away without trying it one last time.

And you know what? Whether I really give stuff away or not, it's really fun to do this exercise. It has me thinking long and hard about my stash. Keeps me organized, shows me what's missing (umm, yeah, there is stuff missing) and what's superfluous. If I'm going to have lots of stuff, it had better be stuff I use!
