Hmmm...

It's interesting. It is 2006. I've just googled around some to see if anyone has yet discovered the cause of adult acne.

The usual, the same old stuff. First of all there is so little admission that adult acne is a new phenomenon. Adults did not have acne when I was growing up. Gee, how do you know that? Because all of the acne treatments were marketed toward teenagers until recently. That's how I know (never mind that I remember that no adults had it).

There is the same casual statement tossed out..."50% of all women have adult acne at some point in their 20's, 30's, 40's and even 50's." Really????? Wasn't like that when I was growing up.

There is next to no admission that adult acne is not a global phenomenon. Adults do not have acne all over the world. It is regional.

There is quite a bit of admission now, that adult acne is environmental (this is alluded to rather than stated outright). I've seen people sell books based on the advice I published here years ago. (Side note: why buy the book?). i.e. the same people who no doubt sneered at my advice years ago to change your diet, first and foremost, are now going about as if they invented the concept.

But, yet again--no breakthroughs.
