Yipes! It's all over the Net now...that chromium deficiency is behind acne. Go to google and search "chromium acne."

Granted, most of the information is from firms flogging supplements...but do go there and read carefully. There are other vitamin recommendations too.

Zinc never did anything for me but it's there and it is worth a shot. Vitamin B-6 is mentioned as well (the KAL yeast I'm taking has vitamin B-6 but the Lewis Labs doesn't mention it).

The idea again is that acne has something to do with poor sugar metabolism. Either there is a deficiency of nutrients that help metabolize sugar, such as chromium, or else the individual is consuming too much sugar.

Check it out!

Okay...I think I can be a little more scientific about this brewer's yeast thing now.

I have to take a minimum of 2 tablespoons (not really heaping, just regular tablespoons) of the brewer's yeast powder...I'm using Lewis Labs brand...per day. Less than that, does not work. More than that, does not seem to work much better.

I mix this with the KAL brand nutritional yeast...dunno...in all likelihood, the two tablespoons of Lewis Labs would probably do it alone. But I like the KAL stuff, what the hell...it doesn't cost that much.

You do have to take it every day.

Lessee...I'm looking at my face now. There are a couple of small clogged pores. I have a small bump that I got when I ran low on the Lewis Labs brand and had to take only one tablespoon of it for a couple of days (the local store doesn't always have it on the shelf). I am deadly serious about this...slack off on the brewer's yeast for a couple of days and the problems return. Keep taking it faithfully and you will forget that you ever had acne. I hardly get pimples when I'm on it, only clogged pores (few and small). And no side effects. And it's cheap.

Best of luck...
