Comments: This is not an exhaustive listing of Jane product color descriptions...for that you will have to go to Jane Color Descriptions from goddess.com or else the Jane site. This is my personal description of the Jane products I've actually tried.

Barely Lips sheer lipstick
Blushing Cheeks powder blush
Eye Zings powder eyeshadows
Gliding Eyeliners non-automatic pencils
Liphuggers lipstick
Megabites flavored lipstick
Staying Powder loose powder

Barely Lips sheer lipstick

Bareberry --elegant plum-brown creme. Staying power: same as Bye Bye Brown (below).

Bye Bye Brown --a very nice dark sheer red creme. Staying power: so-so. I melted mine down with some beeswax lip balm to make it last longer on.

Hardly Honey --bought this while looking for a lipstick version of L'Oreal Rouge Pulp "Exposed"--it is similar. Nude shimmer, slightly pink. Good staying power.

Out of Apricot --extraordinarily bad staying power, color is nice though...pinky-nude creme.

Partly Peach --interesting deep rose/peachy shimmer. Bad staying power. Back in my early mad science days, I tried melting it down with Chapstick and a Wet'n'Wild #663A lipliner pencil lead...the color of the #663A is similar actually. Came out so-so. One of these days I might repurchase this and melt it down with plain old beeswax (see Makeup Science/Making your own lipstick).

Rosy Outlook --one of my all-time favorite lipsticks. Pink-red-brown creme, truly "your lips but better," plus it lasts for hours on. Goes with everything, looks expensive!

Liphuggers lipstick

I had a Liphuggers blow-out once...Walgreens had a major 2-for-1 sale. I thought I'd try all the Liphuggers I ever wanted to--which at the time were all the brown Liphuggers. :) I tried all the ones I could find. I still want to poke around the berry ones, like Best of Berries.

Name Color Texture Finish Staying power
Browned Down Red deep intense red-brown creamy satin unknown
Cinnamon Stick brown in tube, beautiful soft pink-red shimmer on creamy satin stinks! melt with beeswax (see Makeup Science)
Fired Up almost pure orange, shimmery creamy satin unknown
Haywire almost pure medium brown creme creamy satin unknown
Kind of Carob stunning intense pink-brown slightly dry matte OK
Kiss of Caramel very shimmery, golden pink-brown creamy satin excellent
Loco Cocoa unique rose/pink/plum shimmer dry matte OK
Nuts About You bright orange-brown dryish matte unknown
Penny Lane deep plum with brown, bronze shimmer creamy satin excellent

Blushing Cheeks powder blush

Good blushes, actually. I would say L'Oreal makes the best drugstore blushes, but Jane comes a close second and they're much more reasonably priced. If you can find a Jane blush you like, more power to you. These are long-lasting on, much better than Maybelline!

Blushing Babydoll --one of the "new" Janes (card packaging). I tried it out as a possible low-end stand-in for Lancome "Rose Charmant." The color was good, actually...subtle matte pink with slight peach tones, nicely muted with brown...but the staying power was atrocious. I'm wondering if that's a characteristic of the new Jane blushes, or--not atypical of Jane--some of the colors last a lot longer on than others.

Blushing Glow --warm, tawny pink-peach. Gives an outdoorsy look. It doesn't look shimmery on.

Blushing Petal --another newbie Jane blush. Not as good a color as "Blushing Babydoll," rather a subtle, plain pink, and with that same el zippo staying power.

Blushing Shell --warm pink. Like Blushing Glow, looks more shimmery in the pan than it does on. Of the two I prefer Blushing Glow, the color is more complex.

Gliding Eyeliners non-automatic pencils

One of my fave eyepencils. They're long-lasting...not as iron as L'Oreal, but better in price.

Blackest Walnut --a medium brown, but somehow different...I think it has a tiny touch of plum.

Rockin' Raisin --plum-brown. I ended up preferring Blackest Walnut, but if you're looking for something more raisin-y you might try this.

Staying Powder loose powder

I use these to custom mix with my Coty Airspun "Translucent" loose powder. Frankly I find them too much color alone.

#3 --a peachy-pinky medium beige.

#4 --deep, almost perfectly neutral brown.

Megabites flavored lipstick

I'm not too keen on flavored lipsticks generally, but these look to be interesting colors in their own right.

Bursting Berries --bright deep pink with some berry. Tastes/smells like a raspberry Bonne Bell Lipsmacker.

Grapefully --this is very purple, like concord grape juice, and tastes very grape-y as well.
