Oh yeah, I never before really realized how much a jacket changes everything. It's part of the look, not just a cover-up so you won't be cold or wet or both :) Of course, having good jackets is easier in a temperate climate than this one. I mean, how many Winter coats am I expected to buy? I have a great black one but it doesn't fit with the mod look. And good Winter coats are expensive.

You know what? We need to get you reading some fashion mags. I get lots of ideas and inspiration from them. I like to browse through the US ones at the drugstore or grocery stores but my favourites to buy are Flare and Clin d'Oeil. Flare is Canadian so I know almost everything is available to me (except for Stila which hasn't gotten its butt over to Montreal yet). Clin d'Oeil is Quebec-based so I can be sure that everything featured actually IS available to me. Not that I would necessarily buy it. Though once, my boyfriend saw pants he'd just bought in a spread. How cool is that? They were grey plaid pants (look much nicer than they sound). He actually copied the look from the magazine for Christmas that year.

I was thinking about fashion (it's occupying my mind a lot these days; I've been putting outfits together in my mind). I'm thinking that, even though it may not be your style (I don't know), you'd look great in the masculine styles that are out this year. I'm thinking pinstripe pants. Slim with a cuff maybe, straight leg. Fitted white shirt. And then maybe a loose tie or suspenders (that'd be cool). Or even a Fedora (you like hats, right?). That'd be cool. And you could wear a vest (maybe Argyle) over the shirt. I would totally see strongish makeup with this. Either a bright red mouth (or dark mouth) or a darker eye. You could use your TBS stuff (Damson and Wine is it?). Anyway, I think it would look really cool on you. The pants could be part of a pantsuit and you'd have a nice interview outfit. It's really the accessories that make the difference. The tie, suspenders, hat... Anyway, I think it's a look that would work on you...
