Heh heh...I got the pants.

I don't want to tell you how long it's been since I just went into a store and bought jeans. I've been going to the MAGS for years now. grumble

I decided against Marshall's. I dunno, I just wanted the retail store experience. i.e. I wanted to find out exactly what to get, rather than having to get whatever was there.

I ended up getting two pairs of jeans at Mervyn's. The logic is that they have better jeans than Target, yet cheaper jeans than Macy's. lol

Of course right after I got them, I found some jeans at Costco for a better price. Yet...I truly dislike the idea of buying without being able to try on. I mean you could just buy what you think would work, then if it didn't, you could shlep the jeans back to Costco and wait in the line...bleh...it's worth the extra money not to have to do that.

I got Levi's 515 jeans in the misses size. They had 515 in juniors sizes at Costco. I think misses is easier to wear if you're, ah, not a junior anymore.

I got the "short" length. I was terrified that it would shrink horribly and then I'd be stuck with short jeans. I'm 5'5" and "short" was too long, unshrunk.

When I washed them though...they became a good length. They did shrink some but not horribly. Actually I could stand to shrink them some more.

Levi's are not as good as they were before. In fact Levi's was the brand to own in the 70's. I still like them... I'll post how they wear.
