Gave up on the triangle...
posted by Colleen Shirazi, July 9, 2006 at 2:43 PM (Pacific)

Okay, I got rid of the triangle. I think it is possible to make a nice triangle in front of a necklace however, for the piece I was doing...where the beads are medium-sized...it just looked clunky no matter what (and I have redone that same piece many times).

The new piece now, that I did today, has "jigged" clover pieces connecting the wrapped links. I got rid of the round rose quartz beads altogether (and let me tell you, even though those were cheap, they were not really worth it...they seemed to attract every speck of grime for one thing). So now it's only wrapped links (oval faceted rose quartz with a tiny round garnet either side) and four-leaf clovers done on silver wire, with a drop in front.
