Yeah, I think I am going through my Angel phase...lol
It's not that I actually want to dress like Angel. He does have a very practical look though, if you're looking at it. Maybe not for Los Angeles (there was one episode where this "swami" in Ojai asked him why he was wearing a long coat in 80-degree weather--apparently vampires have no body temperature, so it doesn't matter)...but for the San Francisco Bay Area it is actually an entirely practical style.
I own two men's shirts...the dark grey BR one I had on yesterday and this light blue one the old man gave me--which I'm wearing today.
The thing with wearing a man's shirt is that the rest of your look has to be ultra feminine...otherwise you look as if you forgot to do the laundry and had to borrow a shirt from the old man!
So what I have from Angel is a men's shirt and a leather jacket...mine isn't as long mumbles but it's a very good one, very durable. I'm also jonesing for one of those claddagh rings...I have some Christmas $ stashed so I'd like to get that and also place my Ava Aromatics order.
You know I actually owned a claddagh ring before? It was a beautiful chunky silver one. The problem is that I broke up with the guy who gave it to me. So sighs it went into the box along with all the other stuff he gave me...the box I dumped on his front step...rotfl
Dang it! Should have kept the ring.

Okee...I put it on the template also. That way, it'll show up on every page of the Fashion Blog including the archives. And it'll stay on top no matter how much blogging occurs. :)
Hmmm...the climate here is very different. It almost never freezes. Conversely, it doesn't get that hot in summer either.
When I lived on the East Coast, I preferred the cold season to the hot. Summer in Virginia is...really really hot and humid. It defies even shorts, tank tops and sandals.
It's supposed to get hot in the East Bay but it hasn't, in years. Hence I'm cold all the time. I don't get that season where you bake all the winter out of your bones.
I'm getting into something of a menswear look now, myself. Maybe I'm just bored. I have on a Banana Republic men's shirt right now, it's a nice one. It's dark grey with white pinstripes on it...and it's wash and wear. I've got this on over a black turtleneck.
I've concluded...since buying those Levi's 515's...that pricier jeans are worth it. They last longer. I still have those black Guess? jeans after some years...the color has faded some but they've frayed not one bit. Perfect condition.
I think also I'm going to move to black jeans once these 515's have bitten the dust.

Well, January was hard. So cold! So far February has been like Spring. Yesterday was around freezing point and everyone was out. People even having drinks outside. I wore my Skechers and got them muddy but it was nice to not wear boots. Now, I'd be stupid to think it's going to stay like this. It'll get cold again before Spring really gets here. I just hope it doesn't get into the -20C range again. Otherwise, I'm not sick of Winter yet. My best clothes are my Winter clothes. Turtlenecks are cozy and boots are cool. Scarves and mittens are fun. When April comes around though, I'll be good and ready for Spring. I dunno, I think I like the way seasons come and go. I like Winter but would hate it if it lasted all year...

I don't know about you guys...but I can't wait until the weather changes. I am so not a cold-weather-clothing person.
The sole item I'd like to wear in cold weather, I don't own. I would love to have a long leather coat...all of my leather jackets are jacket-length. grumbles...

They have that Oscar fashion section in our link: Oscar.com. (Yep, it's the same one where you can predict the Oscar winners for a chance to win a plasma tv :D There are some other prizes too.)
It's a bit odd in that it's Oscar fashion from different Oscars shows...the outstanding women's outfits.
I can admit that I do watch the Oscars and mostly just to see what the women are wearing. I loved Catherine Zeta-Jones' brilliant red dress last year...but putting it into perspective. Everyone else was wearing what felt like grey. I know there's a war on but, I feel that the Oscars should be glamorous and unreal.
