Fall 2003
By Raphaëlle

Fall is my favourite season and not just because of my birthday. The air turns crisp and cool, the leaves change colours, and fashion is at its best. Fall is when I love corduroy, denim, and ethnic prints the most.

Fall is when I turn to beiges, browns, reds, olives... Fall is when my cheeks start turning red from the cold and I can be nice and cozy in a warm sweater, a scarf, and gloves.

The brown cords and T-shirt look rather dull on their own. It's the "dirty" denim jacket that pulls the look together and makes it more edgy. It's a very "in" style this year but of course, I'll still be wearing it when "they" decide it's out... The style does have some longevity. The best shoes to wear with this look are brown boots with a bit of a heel.

Pants are from Jacob Connexion, T-shirt from InWear, and jacket from Tristan.

Short skirts are so much fun! I love wearing them with mary jane shoes and opaque tights for a younger look. When it's warmer, switching the tights for knee-high socks looks even more schoolgirl-ish. The focus for this outfit isn't the skirt though. It's the poncho. I got it in Peru and it's made of alpaca wool. Ponchos aren't the in thing right now so it looks more unique than, say, the jacket from the previous photo.

Skirt is from Jacob Connexion and black turtleneck is from Jacob.

Jeans are the eternal basic. These ones have the coolest embroidery right along the waist. I like wearing these jeans with a simple top in black or brown to keep the focus on the detailing. If I'm hiding the embroidery with a longer top, it's anything goes as is always the case with jeans.

Jeans are from Mexx and top is from RW&Co.
