Hmmmm...
I'm going to order some bulbs for the garden.
I'm not sure what to get. I never found a real solution to the pocket gopher problem.
I saw an ad...actually one of our own Google garden ads...that said you could use fox urine to repel gophers.
sigh sounds great but does it work?
In the meantime, the gophers have never eaten our daffodils, irises, or lilies. They have eaten our alliums, so there are bulbs that they eat.
I'm going to get some tulips, lilies, hyacinths, etc. and see if those are gopher-proof.
I'm also going to try the pheromone trap for codling moths. It's too late to get the first generation of them but I've read that they have two generations per year, so maybe I can catch them the second time around.
Some things have survived the gophers. They've never eaten roses. Or lavender, or "ruby slippers" daisy plants.
I have camellias up and they don't seem interested in those, or geraniums.
