I'm a creature of habit. I fall into ruts. I'll invariably wear the same products over and over again, while the electric blue eyeshadow gathers dust by the wayside. So to break myself of habits, here are my resolutions:
1. No more eyeliner. It's a good look for me, smoke rising from my eyes. Smouldering, as they say. But I wear it all the time. So I'm going to try to avoid it, just a clean lid (white or champagne shimmer, maybe, but no more) and black mascara. Requires scrupulous attention to brows so that you retain polish, but otherwise, far less maintenance. NARS Tokyo or All About Eve would be supremely perfect here (I own neither, however).
2. My "favorite lipstick" is going to be a red one. A sheer one, mayhaps, but red, nevertheless. My pick: Chanel Barcelona Red, like red rose petals. Smells like it too!
3. Great skin and hair are going to be the mainstay of my look-that-is-not-a-rut. Currently using for hair: Phytologie Phytonectar Shampoo + Kérastase Resistance Ciment Anti-Usure + Phytologie Phyto 9. Currently using for skin: LUSH Ultrabland + Dr. Hauschka Rhythmic Night Conditioner + Fresh Lotus Eye Gel.
