Posted by Dain, Sunday, September 17, 2006 9:17 PM (Eastern) ![]() This bubble bar is to erase fatigue from tired muscles, and its spicy ginger-mint-cinnamon scent is pleasantly soothing, not aggressive. Does it do, as it suggests, magic on sore muscles? As much a hot warm bath will, though I suppose this hearkens back to a time when a mild mustard bath was a common solution. Marathon Bar was created to fill the niche left behind by Fizzy O'Therapy, but somehow I like the idea of the bath bomb (or "bath ballistic", as they say in the UK) better. A really hot bath and the spicy, gingery warm scent of a bath bomb, and you can't feel but peppy (but still ready to go to bed). And then all you have to do is snuggle between toasty sheets. Am I the only one who finds aromatherapy an odd science? It's about appealing to emotions triggered by certain scents. Why is vanilla comforting, for example? Or tuberose, so sexy? Why does orange uplift? And lavender soothe your senses to sleep? I don't know. Sounds a bit like voodoo, doesn't it? beauty, bath and body, lush cosmetics Labels: bath and body, beauty notes, LUSH |
