Actually, "fantasy" may be a misleading title... I do want to purchase a pair of classic black pumps ($588), preferably in suede, because I know how much use I'll get out of them. I want to invest, in order to ensure a proper fit that lasts. I think these are much more elegant than the Christian Louboutin or Miu Miu I was also considering, though the Miu Miu are really cute.
On a related note, check out this link to a few of the more special Manolos, they are like statues, no?

Those are nice shoes.
I had shoes of a similar shape at one time. They didn't have the same cutout detail, they were just plain shoes of that long, slim shape with the sort of pointy toe. Mine had a slightly lower heel. The higher heel here makes the shape look more modern.
It's a good shape. It looks good on your foot, and it's different enough to not look like the same ol' shoe.
