Posted by Dain, Wednesday, August 29, 2007 12:06 AM (Eastern) I've been looking at a lot of stuff from Refinery 29, and decided, well, why not share the good source? It is a colloquium of shops, all based in the NYC area, featuring mostly independent, sometimes difficult to find brands. But, that's not all. They have articles, including very interesting music recommendations and some offbeat travel tips for cities around the world. Want to know the best vintage shop in Paris or the best place to buy leather gloves in Antwerp? They'll point the way. After all, you judge the quality of a store (or rather, this handful of stores) by the merchandise they offer. In fell swoop, you can purchase A.P.C. belts, Cheap Monday jeans, Vivienne Westwood coats, Alexander Wang cashmere, Anna Corinna bags, Embryolisse cream. Style: cool, casual, very New York. Labels: fashion notes, indie, internet |

August 29, 2007 12:20 PM,
Interesting!
I'm really loving the black tights with dresses and skirts. I saw this recently in a UK (I think)catalog online and at another site, Cyrillus? Maybe? Alot of the pictures on The Sartorialist showed this as well, I think mostly in Europe. Like I said, I like this trend, I can wear shorter skirts and not feel too young and barenaked, plus it'll work well for the wintertime too. Something about blacktights going down into a thick heeled black shoe pleases me, it makes even my short, stumpy legs at least feel long and lean!
