Just some stats, outside information of cosmetics and fashion.
BASICS
birthdate April 20, 1985. It is, among other things, National Pot Day, the anniversary of the Columbine shootings, Hitler's birthday, and err.. very auspicious.
hometown Boston
education B.A. English, Yale University (May 2007)
ethnicity South Korean
weight and height 125 lbs, 5'2", petite, I don't gain or lose weight easily. One of the virtues of being Asian. But I'm short, which is one of its drawbacks.
coloring Light skin with golden undertones (but for whatever reason, I look better in cool shades), black hair, dark brown eyes.
skin type Normal to dry, mild acne in the form of blackheads but breakouts are rare. Actually, I'd say I just have good skin. Not sure if it's the result of years of obsessive maintenance or genetics or both.
status Single, not interested in a relationship right now. Poo, just want to taste as many different people as I can at this age. Plenty of time to settle.
FAVORITES
books A short list would be: Watership Down (Richard Adams), The Palm at the End of the Mind (Wallace Stevens), Paradise Lost (John Milton), Serve It Forth (M.F.K. Fisher), The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, American Gods (Neil Gaiman), anything by Margaret Atwood, Metamorphoses (Ovid), random works of Nietzsche, and The Complete Works of Aristotle.
magazines Vogue Italia and W, for artistic value. I rather like Allure, it makes me laugh, and I tend to learn new things. I also read American Vogue and Lucky, though I harbor antagonistic feelings (too much consumerism). Everything else, except maybe the new Lush, is crap.
artists I'm gonna be a traditionalist and advocate the sublime, Michelangelo and Vermeer. It doesn't take much to appreciate them.
music Jimi Hendrix, Mozart, Miles Davis, Fiona Apple, The Doors, The Animals, Johnny Cash, The Mamas and the Papas, Atmosphere, The Fugees (or just Lauryn Hill), Mos Def, The Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Janis Joplin, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Wolf Parade, The Four Tops, Radiohead, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Simon & Garfunkel, Sublime, Grateful Dead... basically, I like classic rock
food fresh baked bread (raspberry jam, creamed honey, crushed black olives and anchovy paste, melted cheese, pesto, nutella, moist chicken breast, so many ways to eat good bread), raspberries, Fage yogurt, a slow-baked meaty potato, sushi and seaweed salad and miso, what my roommate calls "ginger beef" (a recipe of my own), sugar snap peas, barbecue ribs be sooo good, tomato soup with grilled cheese, grilled fresh fish (I am particularly fond of red snapper), calamari, basically I love food, but then again, who doesn't?
movies Cinema Paradiso, All About Eve, Amadeus, Princess Mononoke, Pulp Fiction, Fight Club, Donnie Darko, Gosford Park, The Nightmare Before Christmas.
