If The Fine Knit is the posh iteration of The Simple Tee, then The Chunky Sweater might be considered a similitude to the sweatshirt, which will NOT be forthcoming. That's all people wore at Yale, sweatshirts and jeans, god, no thank you. Is The Chunky Sweater that much more difficult to wear? Surely not, unless it itches. Beautiful colors and textures, and such warmth! Indeed, it may only be appropriate for the coldest days, but you can opt for one less chunky if it only gets chilly where you live.
One is probably enough, if it is beautiful. I own a snowy cabled turtleneck myself.Labels: an array ecumenical
October 27, 2007 8:07 AM,
I have a cream colored cotton sweater, like the stripey one but not stripey. :)
I loooooove that sweater. Its just starting to wear out and I have no idea how I will find a replacement when its gone. (I'm sure it will last a couple of more years because I wear favorite sweaters until they shred).
It goes with everything, jeans, skirts, denim, corduroy, twill. I'd wear it with jeans and be totally casual or I could wear it with this really beautiful chocolate colored wool riding skirt (Ralph Lauren, none the less, 1$ at the thrift store, find of the decade!) and ankle boots and feel totally elegant and dressed up.
I also have a zip-up, cable-knit,cardigan hoody that I wear almost daily. Its just a cheap one I bought at Meijer (Midwest version of super Wal-Mart). You would not believe the number of compliments I get on that thing. I've found that I can double my winter wardrobe by just putting on my cardigan over my short-sleeved tees and tanks.
I'd like to get another cardigan in grey or maybe brown or burgandy. I love black but it doesn't age really well.
