Posted by Dain, Sunday, October 21, 2007 3:05 PM (Eastern) I'm not sure if anyone's interested, as this is a beauty and fashion blog, but I've begun writing a novel. I've been blogging for so long that in some ways it is the easiest medium, not least of which is the ease of editing, though it's reverse chronological, not sure how to fix it... Though there is an elaborate explanation for every word, much less the confluence of words, I have decided to keep it as clean and neat as possible. Each period (or post) begins as a variation, then an expansion, of a theme. In the case of "The Long Morning", the primal, of beginnings and origins. It is purposely hermetic, but I labored above all to create a language that lends itself to fluid interpretation, to make it a personal experience for the reader. Each period takes me weeks to write, even the first, which is only one line. As such, you may see work in progress, and much of what is written "between the lines", but they're not permanent.
