Fantasy Web Find of the Day: Juliette et Justine Le Detenteur de Sang Sacre

I knew vaguely of the extreme oddities of Japanese street fashion (which puts American consumerism quite to shame) but never knew much about it. But I was doing some research for a Beauty Notebook, and stumbled upon "Lolita" fashion and its many variants, which actually have nothing to do with sex in spite of the title. I am... fascinated, in the sense of the old Latinate root of the word, "to cast the evil eye on, to bewitch", torn between revulsion and a strange sort of attraction. I mean, it's way tacky to be this costumey beyond the age of seven, and yet I own clothing that isn't that far removed, like this blouse, I have one exactly like this (the white one), with less lace and frills. Likewise, I find myself drawn to this coat. It is an absurd piece of clothing, yet, I kind of like it, in spite of the bad French and the model's... err... crown? crystal lotus? spear? It's kind of the extreme version of stuff you might find at Anthropologie, no?
