Can I admit I seldom indulge in shoe porn? I just never got into shoes? I own three pairs of shoes (not counting a pair of Okabashi sandals, which are handy for swimming). If I had my druthers, those three pairs would never wear out, so I'd never have to shop for shoes again.
All of that said, the only footwear that have caught my fancy lately are the Cole Haan Nike Air high heels, and some stuff on this site:

Every woman needs a handbag, but only the high-maintenance ones obsess over shoes. ; )

Some people like shoes, I'm not knocking it...it's actually quite interesting, if you think about it. The shoe has to fuse function and performance with appearance, perhaps more so than any other item of clothing.
This is the second site I've seen featuring shoes handmade in the U.S. The other site honestly wasn't that good, I haven't written anything about it. But it is a start.
That's what I want to see in a shoe actually...something that isn't mass produced. The cost factor is prohibitive for me, but then...it could be something that becomes more popular. More demand = lower prices.
I'm drooling over some of the shoes on the Ped site...the one I really wanted was on sale, but didn't have my size.
