More or less NARS porn.
It's blurry, and I'm too lazy to take another picture. Greater detail, however, will not illuminate you further: it's black and white. Like all the older NARS, it's nevertheless a very special black and white. The black is true, no brown, grey, nor blue undertones, well pigmented and absolutely matte. A perfect black is surprisingly difficult to execute, and even this will go on rather sooty unless you apply it overa creamy liner. Since I have black hair, it is a perfectly subtle bit of definition, applied dry with a flat eyeliner brush—perfect for non-mascara days, because even the softest kohl leaves a relatively crisp line. The white is semi-sheer, because there is no base, just white shimmer with other shimmers mixed in (gold, pink, green), an optical illusion that will throw light wherever you apply it. It is similar to All About Eve in this way, but since it is light in tone, one must exercise slight caution unless you are very pale of skin, lest it seem too frosty.
Here is the white as a wash, swept under the lower lashes for extra light. I privately think that white eyeshadow, like nude lipstick, is a passive aggressive bold look. It is not patently obvious, but it's not exactly natural. The black has taken a quiet background role, just densely packed at the lashline.
This is your classic smoky eye, and Pandora is the duo for it. The smoky eye (please look at the Lookbook for further detail), is usually a build up of layers of pigments. Typically, I like to add a pewter/taupe shadow as a buffer between the white and black, as I've done here, to soften the gradations somewhat (I used L'Oréal Sassy). Since my sister is Asian (just like me, how surprising), I didn't use too much dark color over the lid, just a smokiness that rises subtly, though the angle of the shot makes it seem a bit less than it is. The black arcs around the outer corner of the eye, the white around the inner.

Nice porn!
Hmmm...I can see this is ideal for high contrast coloring. It was a good call buying it.
