Those are beautiful shoes. I'm thinking they could be duplicated fairly easily...not that I'm good at doing things like that. But the idea, having a soft rosette on the toes.
My current "project" is patching the lining of my leather jacket. I love the jacket, but the lining is old and it's gradually wearing out. I suppose I could just take it to a tailor, but for whatever reason I'd rather patch it myself.
But I'm so sewing-retarded, it's taking me forever to finish it. I already did the most obvious part so I'm taking my time doing the rest.

hidden wedge heel? Interesting. Any idea how on earth they pull that one off?
I'd love to try a pair on. I love the look of flats but they make me look so short and stumpy, actually they make me look even more shorter and stumpier than I already am.

If you get one with a pointed heel, you can usually get around the "stumpy" look of a flat. I also find it makes a difference what kind of skirt you wear. If it's a-line (i.e. flares out from the waist like an A) as opposed to a pencil skirt (which hugs the body, and must be worn with heels), then you can usually get away with flats. I have short legs myself!

I'm thinking, the hidden wedge heel is just a small wedge heel inside the shoe. The back of the shoe therefore is slightly taller than it normally would be, but the eye doesn't catch the difference.
I like a slight heel myself, I think flats best suit the young 'uns, or "them" with better legs than I have. :D
