Too tired to code HTML spaces...

...use dots.

TheBroadroom's Site Map

It's not even finished. It's an old HTML site map that's been sitting there for...months? years? I had the idea of returning to an actual HTML document for the site map.

Something that I think would be nice...you make a "soundtrack of your life."

This would be an arbitrary number...let's say 10...songs that sum up your life.

If someone played your soundtrack, they would get an accurate feel for your stay on this Earth...what you were all about. It would be nicer than a gravestone. A gravestone becomes meaningless. It looks nice and it was expensive, but what do you know about that person when you pass his or her grave?

Wouldn't it be nicer to push a button and listen to their soundtrack?

I feel...what with data storage becoming smaller and cheaper by the day...that some day there will be such a thing. A giant human museum. It need not be a physical museum beyond the actual physical data storage. It could be a gi-normous database. But everyone would get their little slot in it...their, ah, 15 gigabytes of fame.

Anyhow, starting to construct my soundtrack...and if you happen upon this post, and happen to like the idea, could you please link back to this post? And request that others who like the idea from your blog, link back to your post? It would be fun.

  1. Midnight Train to Georgia, Gladys Knight and the Pips
  2. The New Frontier, Steely Dan
  3. Boys of Summer, Don Henley
  4. Show Me, The Pretenders
  5. I Can't Live (If Living Is Without You), Mariah Carey cover
  6. Gimme Some Truth, John Lennon
  7. Up In Heaven, The Clash [tough call, I'd have to think about it]
  8. There Is A Light That Never Goes Out, The Smiths
  9. Will You Love Me Tomorrow?, The Shirelles [a close tie is the Bryan Ferry version of this]
  10. China Girl, David Bowie (co-written by Iggy Pop)
