It's surprisingly easy to get lazy and lose to the Kitty (Beginner Kitty's moves are completely random btw; I never got around to implementing Advanced Kitty).
I'm working on fixing up the Children's section as you can see.

I realize I've written next to nothing here in...months, easily. It's true I tend to prefer topical blogs over the classic "blog about nothing." But that's really not an excuse.
I'm finding the Bay Area...is experiencing a brain drain that no one's talking about. I started noticing it about a year ago, perhaps a bit more. The real tip-off lies in how people drive around here.
It used to be good; I always thought of Californians as being excellent drivers. Now I get stressed virtually every time I drive. It doesn't bother me the way it did in the beginning...now I actually expect a certain percentage of people to drive like crap.
I've boiled it down largely to people ignoring the basic rules of the road. Instead of "right of way," their philosophy is "just go, let the other person worry about it."
What's weird, now that I'm thinking about it, is that people don't seem to drive this stupidly on the freeway. I haven't noticed any significant change there. It's all on the city streets.
There ya go, something to be grateful for.
