This is smelly stuff. Fortunately, I rather like the scent. Sort of like a vanilla milkshake: cream, vanilla, honey, bananas, strawberries... and maybe lavender? (just a touch). It's not really what you'd expect (I expected something sugary), but genuine. It's very strong, and it lingers persistently, but again, I like it.

For those of you who are used to more commercial conditioners, the texture of this will puzzle you. It's rather... watery. Very light. There are no silicones, you see (which is what is responsible for that slick, slippery feel you get from conditioners). Usage, therefore, is a little different. I squirt a little onto my palm, then work it into my hair, bit by bit (but, I have a lot of hair). It positively feeds my hair (just drinks it up), insteading of just coating it, which may account for the watery texture. If you leave a little on, it is particularly loving to dry, colored hair like mine.

I don't think this is a good conditioner for very dry hair, and it is actually quite bad at detangling. It's a high-maintenance product, in terms of technique, but the payoff is good: I can honestly say my hair looks fantastic. It's a good match for the BIG shampoo. Together, they've made my hair look absolutely tip-top.

Nevertheless, it's not for everyone. And it's expensive, I think.

UPDATE: As with the BIG shampoo, I've decided this is not a necessary $20 purchase for every month. Unfortunately, that is an expensive sort of habit (for me, anyway), and while I really do like the product, I can't justify the price. My hair, once very long, is now quite short(ish). I almost always wear it in a ponytail. So... [shrugs] what's the use?
