Wow! I was impressed by the Quince Day Cream, and the Normalizing Day Oil (though the latter I tried so long ago my memory of it is dim), but this really blows them out of the water. No wonder this has such a cult following among celebrities, from Kate Moss to Madonna to Cate Blanchett to Jade Jagger. It's really luxe, gentle, nurturing, and protective—in a way it feels like it's reversing damage from the sun, wind, make-up, chemicals (from other products), etc (obviously, no cosmetic product actually reverses damage, but it can promote the skin's ability to heal itself). It does take a while to sink in, and it feels heavier on the face, but obviously, this is intended for drier skins that need that sort of emollience. It's got a lovely, albeit strong, rose scent. I love the metal tube, which is a little inconvenient (if you're clumsy you might squeeze out too much), but it's very hygienic and travel-friendly (and I'm very careful about my cosmetics anyway, so I don't mind). I find that I only need a tiny bit (less than a pea-sized dab, to be sure), and I just pat it in whilst my skin is still damp from toner.

Will this replace my Better Botanicals? I don't know. It's probably too rich for the summer (we'll see), but I might sincerely need for winter (when my skin gets raw and sensitive and quite dry).

Ingredients (simple as can be, I love that): Water, Peanut Oil, Marshmallow Extract, Beeswax, Avocado Extract, St. John's Wort Extract, Shea Butter, Lecithin, Fragrance, Citronellol, Geraniol, Linalool, Limonene, Citral, Farnesol, Benzyl Alcohol, Eugenol, Rose Wax, Rose Petal Extract, Rose Hip Extract

UPDATE: I've definitely decided that the Rose Day Cream is preferable to the Quince. Now that my skin has gotten used to the Dr. Hauschka regime, the Rose doesn't seem that rich and occlusive, my skin just drinks it all up. It's not heavy anymore, but just right.

Pros: a good product and available in my next-door health store

I like everything about this product - the texture (rich), the smell (rose), the way it makes my skin soft. I like that it's a natural product. Of course I like that it's available right where I live. It's not that expensive either. It would get ten points if it only had spf... then I could use it as a day cream and not only at night. Anyway, I prefer using it at night, because it might be a little too rich for daytime use. So... Thumbs up!!
