Okay I'm back. I've worn Spice It Up more now...
It is a really nice, deep sheer brick red. It looks warm in the tube, and I'll guess if lipsticks tend to turn orange on you, this may not work for you.
On me though, as you can see, it looks a bit cool. For a Lustre formula lipstick, it has a lot of color...I should explain...the Lustres generally are quite sheer. Some even verge on "why bother?" for those seeking a bigger color payout.
But this one, unlike other Lustres as I say, is more of a "real" lipstick. It's less goofproof...could probably even use a liner. It's still sheerer than a regular full-coverage lipstick, which also makes it more wearable to me.
No shimmer whatsoever.
Lasting power...it's okay. About the same as the rest of the Lustres. Meaning you'll touch up some during the day but it should not be incessant. Spice It Up tends to wear off more in the center than my other lippies...or maybe it just shows more (I generally wear sheers).
Overall...if you tend toward the "cool" (pink-toned skin), I would not recommend this. If you're neutral or tending toward the warm, this just might be an ideal sheer deep red shade for you.
I'll review this more later on. My first impressions...it's a very nice, somewhat sheer (less sheer than other MAC Lustre formula lipsticks), warm, muted deep red.
