Pros: Smells good, lathers well, no sulfates, no parabens
Cons: Costs a bit more than an average drugstore shampoo

Update: 11/15/06

There's a little bit of this left in the bottle...hm. On the one hand, I wanted to try something else (which I did, Alba Hawaiian Honeydew shampoo). On the other, I still regard this as a good basic shampoo.

The Alba seems better up front at making hair soft, and the cost is about the same.

Ultimately I will give this shampoo an 8. I rotate shampoos...this goes on my list of shampoos to return to, along with Avalon Organics Lemon Clarifying shampoo.

Original review:

I've been using this for almost three weeks now. I don't like to use any shampoo exclusively; usually I have at least one other shampoo to alternate with, to prevent buildup.

That said, I've been using this shampoo as much as any other for as I say about the past three weeks.

It's a nice shampoo, and it's no longer that difficult to find anymore. Our local Longs Drugs carries it (and that's where I bought it from) along with the usual suspects: health food stores, Whole Foods, Elephant Pharmacy in Berkeley, etc.

Unlike other sulfate-less shampoos such as Jason, Kiss My Face Whenever lathers pretty well. It's hard to distinguish it lather-wise from mainstream shampoos.

The sulfate-less feature...frankly, I think a little bit of sulfates won't kill you. My theory is that drugstore shampoos changed at one point and started using more sulfates, to the point that people got irritated (literally) and began to seek out shampoos without sulfates at all.

The scent is nice here. It's supposed to be Green Tea and Lime but I'm getting mostly lime, and it's a wonderfully natural lime.

All in all a pleasure to use. I docked it one point simply because a perfect 10 to me has to be something you can't imagine ever living without. I'm not sure this falls under such a category but I do recommend this shampoo as a mild shampoo.
