Pros: Really good shampoo, no sodium lauryl/laureth sulfate
Cons: Expensive relative to drugstore shampoos

Update: 3/24/2007

Did I mention this is good for my color-treated hair?

I have a review of the Plumeria one up now:

Original review:

This doesn't appear to contain parabens, either, although I don't regard myself as a parabens expert.

I brought this shampoo with me to Jamaica...a place in which you need to wash your hair twice per day. That's Jamaica when it's good...wonderfully hot and humid, you go in the sea every day, you just need to take a shower twice daily and wash your hair.

Ergo, a harsh shampoo would have been very very hard to deal with.

(I also brought Nature's Gate Herbal daily conditioner, which also worked well.

Under these nearly dire test conditions, this shampoo performed not merely well; it's one of the nicest shampoos I've tried in a long time. Avalon Organics Lemon Clarifying shampoo would likely be the last "special" shampoo before that (and the Alba is a little bit better imo). Before the Avalon Organics...goes back to Rusk Deepshine and LUSH Cynthia Sylvia Stout, and you're talking about two years ago.

I think this shampoo would work on any hair type other than extremely dry. It's mild, and makes my hair nice and soft, but it's not heavily moisturizing.

It smells on a par with the Avalon lemon shampoo...divine. I dithered between trying this and the Plumeria one (planning to try the Plumeria one next).

For a SLS-less shampoo, it lathers fact it's not that easy to tell it's SLS-less (unlike, say, the Jason shampoos I've tried). You need add only a small amount of water to it to get it to lather nicely...and you need use only a normal amount of shampoo to get a good wash.

Overall, well worth a try. It's already gone on my (short) shampoo Holy Grails list along with, erm, the Avalon lemon shampoo (keeping in mind that I tend to favor moderately-priced shampoos).
