This smells genuinely fantastic; it's on my short list of perfumes I'd actually consider buying.

I'm certainly not the best nose out there by any means, and I usually don't bother dissecting the notes in a scent. Either I like it or I don't; I don't care what's in it.

L'Air...is spicy, and I usually don't care for spicy fragrances, as I find them less than subtle. But this is nice. The spices are dry...arid...not too sweet, nor too harsh. This is not a sexpot scent, never mind the hype. It's really not sexy to me. It's refreshing, like a spice market at dawn (this is fanciful imagery, bear with me). There are dry woods in it, along with the dry spices.

If I could fault it for anything, there's a tiny touch too much black pepper in it. I like the black pepper, it just could be a bit less.

And the staying power doesn't seem to be much, though it can be hard to judge from using a sample. My Etro Heliotrope seemed fleeting until I had a full bottle to spray with.

L'Air...is unisex; I think it could smell good on a man.
