This on Colleen's excellent rec, and it is my first sulfate-free shampoo other than Nature's Gate, which was too strong for my dry hair.
It's strange how you grow used to certain ingredients without even knowing it. One does not realize how trained you become to the lather of sulfates, and the first time I used it, alarm bells rang: it didn't lather exuberantly and my hair felt rather squeaky. I personally didn't care for the scent, a rather medicinal lavender.
Since then, I've learned to use less product, and I find that my hair is overall much healthier. It seems to encourage natural oils, which is really great for long hair like mine. And I find that a few spritzes of perfume have made this into a heavenly scent. Awesome, but I'm holding back a point until I get to try the Olive & Grape Seed version, which has nutritive oils in it, so may be gentler.
