Site of the Day

Born Today

At first you're thinking, bleh, the shtick here is merely a list of people who were born on, or who died on, a particular day of the year. But it's a great site. The people are interesting, the quotes not the usual run-of-the-mill, the pictures are good...all in all better than most quotations sites, better than most celeb-type sites.

Sites of the Day

Not that I'm actually going to come up with a site tomorrow, but here are the sites for today.

analogx.com

I found this site while looking for a VIN decoder. There seems to be an enormous collection of stuff here though, including archives dating back to 1998.

Parts Heaven

What's charming here, besides the Wrecks of the Month, is that animated gif on the welcome page. I could not have done the animation better myself. You never see this sort of thing anymore...it's all been sanitized, it is all mass-produced and soulless now, so yeah it was refreshing to see something handmade on the Net.

I had already linked to this in an earlier post, then I needed to find the site again, so...here is a separate post with the link in it. Plus I've added a link to the blogger template.
