Got my fragrancenet.com order.....ro
#50376 - 02/27/04 02:43 PM

I ordered California since my other bottle is old and close to empty. This fragrance is made by New Dana now. I haven't sprayed it enough to tell if it's the exact same fragrance.

Asja by Fendi, this is a lovely spicey floral. I got a very small bottle.

I got Cabotine. 1 oz. is very inexpensive.

The dud is LouLou. I swear it's bad, very bad. I wrote to the company to see if they will do anything about it. I haven't heard anything about it yet.

I've had good luck with fragrancenet.com. Prices are good and they ship promptly. When you order from an online discounter, I guess you will get a bad one now and then.

FYI, Chanel no. 19 frequently goes bad so don't order it from a discounter. I got my last one from gloss.com and it's bad. I'm hoping they will take it back since I paid full price.

Do different perfumes age differently? ro... new [Re: WandaC]

It'll sound like a really dumb question because I'm sure they all do age differently.

Can you give some examples of perfumes that, in your opinion, should *not* be bought at discounters?

I was pretty pleased with the Azzura I got at scentiments.com...and the Samsara. The Organza though, maybe it's my imagination. It does not seem as strong as the one I bought at Macy's.

It doesn't smell bad, just imo weaker. I'll use it up but I'll probably choose retail next time I buy it.

Green/hazel eyes, strawberryish blonde hair, medium, warmish, combination acne-prone skin. Everyday base face: tinted frankensunscreen, MAC Blot pressed powder in Medium, and Nars The Multiple in Malibu (bronzed rose).

I find florals turn the fastest.

If a scent has been discontinued for awhile, then I would pass on buying it because you don't know how it has been stored. Light and heat break down a fragrance.

Sometimes it's just age. Usually scents from the discounters are okay if they are still available. It's the hard to find stuff that is apt to be off.

For some reason Chanel no. 19 is particularly fragile. I bought some from gloss.com and it was bad.
