Rediscoveries: Not many. I read Something Rotten and First Among Sequels, after years of not reading Jasper Fforde. He's pretty fun.
Lately I've had Bach's concerto in D for two violins stuck in my head; I used to listen to that all the time when I was in high school. I should listen to more Bach; I got out of the habit.
I spend most of my year in another province, so I sometimes forget what I have at home. I discovered these blue Nine West shoes I bought on sale last summer. Oh my, they are awful, but they amuse me so much. They look a lot like these:
Only worse, they have this pointy toe and a little gold nautical-looking link. They are the moderately priced shoe equivalent of those flower-strewn D&G capris I marvel at in the windows of Yorkville every year, those skinny aging rich bitch pants. But I find them hilarious and wear them with very plain outfits and am amused.
Curious about: Besame, but will have to wait until it shows up on eBay because I'm not paying $25 for shipping, yikes. I have a little box of their loose translucent powder (eBay) and it's pretty charming, although I think loose powder might not be for me.
Holt Renfrew USED to carry Besame.
The Phyto products (Phyto 7 and Phyto 9). I have no need for these things, since I have a bottle of Kiehl's creme at home (it will probably last me for years!) and a couple of tubes of Rusk Phyto-Marine Lusterizer (don't know what's in that stuff, but it works for me) in my other home, but if I find Phyto stuff somewhere for a good price I might pick it up anyway. I don't have really dry hair, but the ends get splitty.
I will have to try NARS Beautiful Liar lipstick when it comes out here -- the description ("spiced coral") is yelling my name, but at this point it would have to be a very special colour indeed to be worth buying.
Dans tes Bras does sound intriguing. Eep.
Reddish brown hair, pale warm-toned skin with freckles, green eyes.
